Why is ongoing learning, as a teacher, important?

For me, ongoing learning as a teacher is so important because it not only helps me to keep up to date with the latest pedagogy techniques and strategies, but it also helps meet the standards as set out by AITSL.

Professor Lynch states " Professional learning recognises the key role played by the teacher in the school improvement equation and firmly seeks to enable each individual teacher to deal with the dynamic nature of their teaching and classroom work and to set them on a course of continuous professional growth." (University, 2022)

I want to keep learning, as a teacher, to better my skills and keep informed of new practices to bring to my classroom.  As the two YouTube clips suggest, a teacher is an important role in every student's life, and that's exactly what I want to achieve in my career.
